* The best way to do this is to find the Professor's academic webpage; he/she will normally list their email address there. To find the Professor's academic webpage quickly, here are three good options:

1. Often the professor will list their academic webpage on their LinkedIn profile page; if it's there, it will be next to the Websites section, and it might be called "My Webpage", "My Blog" or "My Business". (Sometimes the other sites listed in the Professor's Websites section will lead to their direct email address).
2. You can also do a direct Google search for the professor, and normally their academic webpage will be one of the top results on Google. To save you time, we've put the Google query for the professor's firstname and lastname below as a starting point . Sometimes you will have to add the professor's university (found on their LinkedIn profile) to the search query to get more accurate results. For example the search query 'John Smith Harvard' will get you better results than 'John Smith' because the name alone is often very generic.
3. A third option is to search the professor's university directory directly from the university's web site. Find the professor's university affiliation on the LinkedIn profile, then do a search for that university, go to its website and then search for the professor's name.
