Job responsibilities:

1. Manage a variety of HSE activities to ensure that the organization complies with external HSE regulations and standards as well as the internal HSE policies and management system, e.g.:
monitor HSE performance and identify risks or areas that need improvement; come up with realistic solutions; supervise implementation.
conduct safety audits and on-site inspections to identify workplace hazards and unsafe equipment, working practices or working conditions; come up with realistic solutions; supervise implementation.
improve on personal protection equipment
investigate HSE incidents (root-cause analysis and follow up measurements); come up with realistic solutions; supervise implementation.
implement waste management programs
develop and deliver HSE training programs, etc.
2. Develop and implement policies and procedures so that the company meets established HSE targets (e.g. reducing accidents and injuries, minimise emissions, recycle waste)
3. Provide technical expertise and advice on HSE issues to functional or operational area mana gers to help fulfil their HSE responsibilites. Keep up-to-date with proposed and actual changes in HSE regulations, so that the company’s HSE policies remain currrent and relevant and the prdouction operations compliant.
4. Maintain positive relationship with the local community and local HSE authorities
5. Responsible for ISO 9001 & ISO 14000 related issues.
