Main responsibilities: 1. New Business Sales * Using existing data and using company reference resources to research new target accounts and assessing the viability of the prospect and their potential as a customer * Pro-actively cold calling new potential clients, by telephone and in writing, to negotiate new business agreements and manage the customer into a regular turnover account * Maximising orders by negotiating variations in price, delivery and specification * Be self reliant and demonstrate good time management to maximise call volumes * Monitor and report on activities and provide relevant management information 2. Sales Support * Employing an approach which ensures that the requirements of each customer are established and understood before a product is suggested * Liaising with relevant accounts managers or other departments to ensure that they are kept informed of action taken and that the customer is satisfied * Dealing with customer requests for documentation, delivery, service and products * Investigating and instigating appropriate action in response to each customer enquiry * Identifying and implementing the appropriate corrective/ preventive action for individual Non-Conformance reports as required by Company procedures * Recording all relevant data from customer contacts and communicating appropriately and promptly with all relevant departments * Demonstrating support, as demanded by the pressure and priorities of the business, for other members of the sales team or other departments. (This may involve a temporary change in priorities or deployment as deemed necessary by your line manager) 3. Targets/Objectives * Achieving the monthly sales target * Achieving the agreed telephone contact target * Achieving the agreed quantity of new accounts * Contributing to the achievement of the agreed Company targets/objectives (See latest issue) 4. Technical knowledge * Developing a detailed personal knowledge of the products and services offered by the Company * Enabling customers to select the correct product and advising on any product developments or special promotions 5. Information * Identifying and reporting significant information, relating to Company service and products or market trends, obtained from customer/supplier contacts * Recording agreed marketing information from customer contacts 6. Communication * Ensuring that all necessary sales related information is recorded and shared by updating the customer relationship software promptly and appropriately * Recording sales orders on the system within the agreed timescale 7. Company procedures & requirements * Complying with the Personnel, Operational, Quality and Health & Safety policies and procedures of the company Person profile: * Preferably have B2B telesales previous experience and are very customer focused * Able to meet targets * Able to build relationships * Excellent communication skills both verbal and written * Excellent telephone manner * Excellent standard of literacy * Self motivated * Resilient * Have good IT skills and preferably have experience using Microsoft Office suite of programs Remuneration: * Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 5.00pm * Salary £16 - £18K PA * Holidays – 5 Weeks PA plus Bank Holidays * Contributory pension (following completion of trial period) For more details visit http://www.tbdavies.co.uk/recruitment.html or call 029 2071 3000 | ||||||||||||||||||||
