Offered services Lodging CHSLD (Long Term Facility) Day Centre Leisure activities for the beneficiaries Residential and long term care facilities We have a total of 115 beds for residential and long term care. Each admission request is evaluated by the CTMSP tool and analysed by a multi local team which determinate the required care hours and recommend an orientation. A territorial committee orientates and admits the beneficiary in the most appropriate residential resource. The admission at CHSLD will be done within 48 hours as soon as a bed is unoccupied. The service we offer lodging, assistance, support and supervision services and other services including nursing, medical, pharmaceutical, psychological, leisure, rehabilitation, respiratory therapy, meals, housekeeping / maintenance, laundry, financial and pastoral services. Clientele The services are offered to the adult and elderly population who, by reason of loss of autonomy can no longer live in their homes or foster homes despite the support of families and friends. Personnel - Nurse: Evaluate the residents health needs Provide the appropriate nursing care such as : dressings, injections, blood pressure, vaccination, catheter, antibiotic intravenous therapy, palliative care and other care required Supervise the residents health condition - Registered nurse assistant: Provide the required nursing care Personal hygiene care Assistance with feeding the residents - Nurse’s aid Personal hygiene care Assistance with feeding the residents Assist the residents with their everyday life activities Change of the bed linen - Physician Medical exams of the residents Proceed with the evaluation and follow-up Provide semi-acute care and palliative care - Pharmacist Prepare medical prescriptions - Social worker Participate in the preparation of a protection plan when needed Proceed with the psychosocial follow-up: adaptation to sickness, palliative care, grieving, others Provide support to the family Intervene in crisis situation - Technician in leisures Organize and animate individual and group activities Recruiting and training volunteers - Rehabilitation: Maintain acquired skills Evaluate the resident’s needs Mobilization (movement, transfert) 1) Do you have at least 1 year experience working as a : Nurse for long term care- ederly 2) This position is located in Shawville,Outaouais region, Quebec-Canada, is this convenient for you? 3) Do you speak french and english or open to become bilingual because our services are offered in both official languages? 4) Are you ready to work on a schedule :days-nights or days-evenings and some week-end? 5)You will have to sign in the Order of nurses (OIIQ)to work in Quebec province, are you ready to start this step?
